Are Long Periods of Exercise Are Better Than Shorter Periods?

Is Long Periods of Exercise Are Better Than Shorter Periods?

If you’re like most people, you probably don’t get enough exercise.

Maybe it’s because you lack the knowledge or simply tell yourself that you don’t have enough time.

Here is the thing to remember though:

You don’t have to work out for hours at a time to reap the rewards.

Exercise and its benefits are cumulative, meaning that every little bit counts toward your goals. You can spread your activities into short, 5 to 10-minute intervals every day, or you can work out for more extended periods of time three or four days a week instead. Keep in mind, even a short aerobic activity or walk around the block can help you reach your goals!

Don’t worry that you won’t burn as many calories or get good results. The key is to find a regular schedule that works for you – The results will come.

When Workout Length Is Important

If you are training for a specific sport or a competition than the length of your workout should be taken into account. This includes preparing your body for marathons and other races as well as a fighting match or basketball game that requires endurance.

Other than that? You’ve got nothing to worry about.

Both short and long workouts are beneficial for your long-term health, and you should fit in whatever you can. Every little bit matters, and it counts.

So start today, what are you waiting for?
